Do you floss regularly? If not, you could have gingivitis, which would account for the bad taste (gingivitis leads to halitosis - very bad breath).

Are you on any medications that are new? New diet? Vitamins? Anything recent that has changed that you are eating/drinking could possibly account for this as well.

It could be drainage from a sinus infection.

Make sure when you brush, you not only brush your teeth, but your tongue as well (tongue is where most of your oral bacteria are anyway), and of course floss regularly. Try to add a rinse like Listerine or Crest (doesn't burn).

maybe a sinus infection, do you have drainage in your throat?

try brushing your teeth with mouthwash..it works for me! then rinse with mouthwash. i use scope. hope this helps!

do you brush your tounge and floss and use mouthwash? bacteria can build up on your tounge as well thats why the recommend brushing your tounge as well as teath see a dentist if this occurs for quite some time like 2 weeks it could be a infection. im not trying to scare you but its the truth. also brushing your teeth at the very very least 2 times a day 3 times should be normal.

you should floss and use mouthwash
if you are not brushing your tongue do it
if it doesn't help go see a dentist

It could be a gum disease. Do they bleed when you brush?

It could also mean you are dehydrated and need to drink more water. Is your tongue slightly white in colour?

If not try the other suggestions of flossing and using a mouthwash.

Floss, Brush, then pour some hydrogen peroxide on your tooth brush and scrub your teeth and tongue. It tastes a little funny, so follow up with Listerine. You probably have excess bacteria in your mouth, maybe a piece of food is caught in your teeth and is decaying. If nothing helps, call your dentist.

try to brush as far back as you can go on your tounge this should help
