Question for oral surgeons?
If you're an oral surgeon I have sooo many questions to ask you.I really want to be one and have soo many questions about my education etc.
Answers:
If you are in the USA, you need to go to college, then go to dental school, then go to a post-graduate oral surgery training program (4-year or 6-year, depending on whether or not the program also grants an MD degree).
You don't have to worry about applying to an oral surgery program until your third year of dental school.
For now, study hard, make sure you do VERY WELL in school (dental school and OMFS programs are getting ever more competitive), do well on your standardized tests, and good luck.
