My front lower gums hurt. Why is this?!

Question: its my lower front gums in front of my 3-4 central teeth. Its only on the side toching the lips not the gums. When i apply pressure it hurts terribly, and when i move my tongue on it slightly it burns terribly. Weh i brush my teeth there for the first 10 seconds or so it will hurt terribky but as i work it slowly i soon feel no pain and it actually feels good even when brushing hard. In the mirror it is redder than ormal and i can tell its a bit inflamed but its also hard to move my lip back to see it. The pain i can also feel on that bit skin that meets the lip to the teeth. Leading up to this I hadnt brushed my teeth as much as i should have for about 2 weeks(for valid reasons and good ones I wont get into) but still i didnt miss as much as I have in the past. i basically brushed my teeth about 12 times throughout those times, my breathe didnt stink for i did use mouthwash and i flossed. I also drank the equivilant of 3-4 bottles of water throughout the day with very little sugar an

Ummm well I have braces too and I know what you mean i think. Your gums are swollen due to the shifting of your teeth. If your inner lip hurts then you might have cancre sore from the wires. When you don't brush your teeth you make it worse. Your gums can swell because of the bacteria from leftover food. You gotta make sure you brush, floss ( i use a water pick) and rinse good. I gargle with warm salt water to help with the swelling of my gums. My front bottom teeth are hurting alot but i use Aleve to help the pain.

will go away few days keep brushing

Your molars could be coming in...depending on what age you are...and I didnt read your whole paragraph =p too lazy

try a dentist.
