Does it hurt when you have all of your top teeth removed?!
Question: Hi,I am 35 and I have to have the 9 teeth I have left pulled out and two on the bottom.Does anyone know if it takes forever to pull them out and what kind of pain am I expected to have.Thanks for any replies.

May take about an hour & of course you mouth will be sore afterwards!! Doc W
dentists nowadays are very good .you should not have any trouble and very little pain. do not be concerned.
they inject a local anesthetic into the gum and the roof of the mouth for top ones, and then in the pulp if it is exposed. then they wait for it to take effect and just take them out. it does not hurt if you have enough local. my bottom molars it took a couple minutes, but the top one i had pulled, he just shoved and aimed downward a couple of times with the awl type tool and it came right out.
