Gums swollen b/c of braces?!

Question: i got my braces off monday and my gums are really swollen. my ortho told me they would be, and that they would bleed whenever i brush my teeth, and they do. i just wanna know how long it usually lasts, because they kind of hurt.

it shouldnt last to much longer they are just getting use to not having them there it will go down mine swelled but i didnt bleed dont worry about it too much
