Wisdom teeth and pregnancy?!

Question: Okay.. Im almost a week late on my period and Im never late. Im experiencing pregnancy symptoms but tests are coming up negative. Well it took me 2-3 weeks after my period was due to get a positive with my daughter. So that very well could be the case here.

Anyway, Im suppose to be having my wisdom teeth removed on Tuesday. And if Im pregnant, I'll be between 5 and 6 weeks pregnant. Is it okay to go and have my wisdom teeth removed?? Or should I call and cancel my appointment?? I dont plan on taking any pain meds other than tylonal and ibeuprohen (sp?) until I find out for sure so is it safe to go and have them removed? They're really painful right now so yeah.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have them reschedule you until you know for sure. If you are pregnant, the general anesthesia is a big NO for the developing fetus. Nitrous won't be good either, it causes miscarriages. Local anesthetic (just being numb) would be ok, but make sure you call and tell the office. Good Luck!

Hi
If u doubt dat u may b pregnant then just go for the simplest antibiotics plus pain killers before u get a true positive or a true negative. Preferably wait until then and go for tit only if ur tooth needs a simple and less time consuming extraction. By this all v intend is to prevent unnecessary stress.

Extractions are generally contraindicated in the early mos n late mos of pregnancy. Safer period will be 2nd trimester i. e 4th to 6th mos!!

just call and ask the denist first thing tuesday morning... just tell them u think u are pregnant but can't be 100% positve yet... and can you contact them when you know for sure.. and either cancel or re schedule..when u know.... they will more than likley rufuse to do it anyways.. im sure they will be cool..:) or they might suggest gas to extract .. i think thats a safe alternative..they will know and help you
