Teeth problem-Please help?

II have several decayed teeth some with cavity due to germ attack; I can't bear with the pain when the dentist tries to drill my tooth for filling the cavity and/or the tooth extraction. I have asked for morphine before doing both the above mentioned procedure. But the dentist has refused. Please tell me other alternative doing it without pain. I WILL be very grateful for the best Answer. Thanks.

I don't know of any dentist that will use morphine since its so strong. Ask him if he can use Lidocaine (its what was used on me to have my teeth pulled). Novacaine also helps numb the area. I'm surprised that he didn't give you at least that. Lidocaine is great...I had 3 teeth pulled and didn't feel a thing (you'll feel pressure, but no pain). First they applied novacaine to numb the area a bit, then they injected the lidocaine after about 10 minutes and afterwards also no pain, it just felt like my lips were swollen (they weren't, it just felt like they were).
