Herbst appliance?!?!?! HELP!!!!!!?!


Question: I have a herbst appliance and i have "advancement spacers"
[they are round metal things that slide onto the herbst to push the jaw even MORE forward] . I dropped one of the adv. spacers on the ground and I can't find it. I won't be able to contact my ortho. so i will have to wait 3-4 days. Should I take the other spacer out? My jaw is quite "lob-sided" now && it HURTS!!!! Any ways to ease the pain?

you need to call,,,if not your doctor ( you said you couldent see for 3-4 days ) if he cant be reached? Call some other Ortho who can answer this!>>sorry...
