Does pespi cause yellow teeth? 10 easy pts!!!?!

Question: does it?

Answers: does it?

I drink a lot of soda, mostly Dr Pepper, and it does discolor my teeth, however whitening toothpaste does a good job of removing it. If you have sensitive teeth, whitening toothpaste can cause some tooth pain. I saw a report in a dentist office that they have discovered that the acid in soda causes more damage than the sugar.

not sure about yellow but my dentist told me it helps to decay them and discolour them smoking makes ur teeth more yellow

i pretty sure taht it does. My dad drinks it all the time and his teeth are. I think its because of all the sugar that is in it and the dye that they use to make it that color that it is.

hope that helps!

no, not really as much as something like coffee...coke and pepsi are a slow stainer...but it eats the enamel right off makin it so that you have an easier time getting cavities and speed that decaying process right on up...usually u see hard pepsi and coke drinkers with false teeth earlier in life lol.

yes coke for sure does!!! drink it through a straw to prevent this from happening! That will make your dentist much happier...

My friend is a pepsi fanatic & she doesn't appear to have stained teeth. Of course she also has good oral hygiene and brushes regularly. Me, a coffee drinker, won't open my mouth or give up coffee even tho the stains are ridiculous.

Pepsi and Coke (colas in general) cause a mild yellow staining, but it takes a long time and a lot of exposure. They are big contributors to tooth decay, though.

If you're interested... contrary to popular belief, it is TEA, not coffee, that is most likely to stain your teeth. On the bright side.. any staining that any of these items cause is only a surface stain that can be removed by tooth whitening.
