Answers:

Don't follow any advice that includes you rinsing your mouth on the day of the extraction and the day after, you can dislodge the blood clots which can lead to dry socket: any socket in which a patient is having pain due to the loss of the blood clot thus exposing the bone to air, food, and fluids along with an offensive odor. This often occurs two or more days after an extraction and can last about 5-6 days. I hope that you were given instructions as to what to do after an extraction.

My dentist after my extractions (like you I pulled all four wisdom tooth, but thankfully not all at the same time) told me:
1. Do not spit, rinse or brush your teeth up to 24 hours after the extractions.
2. Do not drink very hot or cold liquids.
3. Do not smoke, drink alcohol or drink from straws.
4. No vigorous physical activity for at least 48 hours. (That includes sex.)

As to your question about losing the blood clots, I am pretty sure you are safe, since the stitches pretty much encase them. I am sure you didn't intentionally make yourself sick, but I say go veg out in front of the TV or go take a nap. Give your body a chance to heal. Good luck, that number of teeth out must hurt and use some packs of frozen veggies for the swelling.
