About how many ortho appointments did you have before you got your braces acutal!
Question: 1st appointment-consultation with ortho
2nd-xrays, photos, impressions
3rd-consultation after they viewed the xrays, and made molds
Then almost 4 months of prep-deep root scalings(periodontist), cavities filled (dentist)and wisdom teeth removed(oral surgeon).
After wisdom teeth healed,
4th appt w/ortho-had spacers put in
5th appt-upper braces finally
5 months later-lower braces
It takes a long time and waiting is the hardest part but it will go by fast

a lot. they have to do everything to prepare for them. like putting things in your mouth to space out your teeth, widen your mouth, and all that other stuff. trust me, it's not fun. but def worth it in the end! don't worry. you'll get them on eventually.
It took me over a year before I got my braces on, I couldn't even begin to count how many appointments I had and it takes even longer if you have to have surgery (like I did).
4 years my friend. from space retainers to buildinhg and reconstructing the roof of my mouth. then had braces for 9 months. but just maybe you won't need all that. and he'll/she'll just put em on. i do know they cost around 4500. dollars and usually 850 down these days
