Do braces hurt when you get them did you cry if you have them??!

Question: I didn't cry when I got them. I actually was very happy to know my teeth were gonna look great! I walked out with a smile on my face.

They hurt whenever they tighten them but not like your hands' are gonna fall off or something. Its just a litte pressure and it should go away in 4 days (about). I actually got mine tighten today and I feel fine. I just can't eat anything hard.

Also, when changing colors you will feel a little pressure but belive me, you won't cry or even have tears!

Just make sure whenever you go to get a check up or tighten or even color changes take some medicine that will help not feel the pain.

Just be relaxed at the office. Take deep breathes. When I went there today, I was more concerned how cold it was, I didn't care what they did to my teeth. Just relaxing and have happy thoughts. Like, I love braces, my smile is gonna look beautiful!

Good luck, just relax!

(Grown) Boy did I hate wearing those things...

and yes they hurt...a lot!!!

Braces don't hurt when they're putting them on, but it'll make your mouth sore for about a week. This soreness and aching starts to kick in about an hour or two after they've put the braces on. I didnt cry cause the pain went away after a week, if it had stayed any longer I would have cried. Don't worry, the end results will be satisfying.

I didn't cry when I had them but I found the first nine days or so very painful. My teeth ached a lot and I couldn't eat anything solid at all to begin with. However, after this, the pain went and now my teeth only ever ache when the orthodontist puts on a tighter wire. I'm about seven months off the end of my treatment and although it's taken longer than expected (it's been more complicated than the typical person's experience with braces), I'm looking forward to the finished result. Hopefully, it will be well worth it.

The process can take quite a while and for a couple of weeks, your teeth may be sore, but it should be worth it in the end. Don't let the pain put you off from getting them: there isn't enough to warrant that.

when you first get them it doesnt hurt alot..the process of putting them on is more annoying then anything else.
They dont hurt exactly- your teeth just get tender.
so be sure to eat SOFT foods for about the first week after getting them.
And if you have a wire poking you that shouldnt be, dont procrastinate go get it clipped ASAP!
and if you can't use the wax that they'll give you.
if they dont give you some you can generally buy it at a drug store or supermarket...(i.e. walmart)
braces aren't that bad, you'll get used to them :) but it doesnt mean you'll like em.

i didn't cry when I had them but I found the first 5 days or so very painful.

yea and your question doesnt make any sense what so ever

The brackets don't hurt and all. Its like metel little boxes that they just glue on your tooth. Here you'll know all about your pain. The wire that goes through yur brackets still won't hurt. The only thing that hurts is the tighting of the wire and the metel crowns on the 4 of your back molars. You will not be able to eat solids for 1 week

No, I have braces right now, and I didn't even come close to crying. Try to take aspirin before getting replacement braces. It really works. For me, it hurts for about a week, then I get used to it, and it doesn't feel like I have them on right now

well i just got mine on yesterday.
they dont really hurt, its just a constant pressure on my teeth.
spacers those are another story. i was in tears for a week. it was literally hell, so to me, braces arent too bad. they do feel wierd in your mouth though. the brackets rub against your cheek, and kind of irritate it. my teeth arent too sore, they were only super sore from spacers.
