What does it mean when your gums are swollen?!
Question: Every so often, the gums on the right side of my upper mouth swell. It's always the same side and the same area. One time as I was having my teeth cleaned the dentist assistant asked me if I smoked because she sometimes sees that with people who smoke. But... I've never smoked a cigarette in my life. It's pretty random as to when my gums swell and it only last a couple days. Any idea as to what causes this?

It's coz ur gums r inflamed. all u need is a professional and meticulous cleaning of that area as ur routine hygiene measures are not doing the trick 4 u and if it all they r helping, it's largely temporary!!
You probably overbrushing your teeth. Go gently with a soft brush and stop scrubbing.
