I'm allergic to penicillin. ----- [ gums and teeth ]?!
Question: are there any type of antibiotics that have no trace of any type of -cillin in them. Because im allergic to penicillin and amoxicillin and anything else like that. and right now i guess i have a bacterial infection under the gum of my wisdom tooth. My dentist told me i should have it cut out. but i dont want to do so. why can the not just remove the gum.. i know my teeth have no more room.
any ways any help on the antibiotics???

First, there are alternate medications that your doctor can prescribe. When your allergic to a medication the reaction can be minor and then again it can actually be life threatening. While, if you do have an involved infection going on in relationship to your teeth, especially the wisdom teeth, letting it go on and ignoring the suggested extraction is not a smart thing to do. Tooth infection can put serious bacteria directly into your blood stream and if you happen to be a person with say a cardiac problem and you ignore the infection, you need to buy the plot.
