I have the clear kind it's really cool because you can't really notice it...but it hangs onto a lot of spit when I take it out... My Ortho gave me a clear on top and a permanent on the bottom, it's a little wire that they glue to your teeth. I don't like the thing on my bottom teeth because you can't floss normally and it gets in the way off your tongue. My Ortho didn't give me a choice...
