Why do i have to wear elastics?
My teeth look so straight right now. i am always getting comments from people saying they look good or they ask me when i get them off. I did have a little space and it has now closed. I am wondering if i will get the elastics off at my next appointment since the space is closed. it looks like there is a small gap wear i have to wear my elastics,but there really isn't. I measered how far down my tooth on one side of mouth was compared with the other and they are they same. Could the space just be the there becasue of the shape of my tooth or do you think i will still have to have to wear elastics at my next appointment. i think i won't and so do a few other people. I know its hard to tell without seeing them but what do you think?

If you are referring to the upper to lower elastics, they are not to be underrated. They will close the bite, the space between the upper and lower teeth when you are closed together. If you mean the ones on each tooth, the wire will fall off without them. The upper to lower ones can be a pain in the @** I know, but they are important. They are somewhat slow moving. They may want you to continue to wear them. They should leave everything as close to perfect as possible considering the cost. Don't settle for less even if you are tired of it. You will regret it later.
