Do spacers hurt??!

yep but u dont hav 2 worry about it! u got time!! enjoy being braces free! to reduce the pain, before you go take advil or a pain medication and after get a slushie, frostie, or a cold beverage. they arent really painfull, but irritating. also, try to floss between your back mollers so that it doesnt feel so irritating. hoped i helped! :)
YES!! Spacers hurt more than braces. They stick rubber bands between your back teeth to spread them apart below the gum line, so they can put metal brackets between your teeth. There is nothing pleasant about them!! They will hurt for a week after you get them, making it amost impossible to eat anything crunchy. Sometimes, they pop out!! Then you have to get them put back in!! Grr...I feel sorry for you, but it's worth it in the long run!! Straight teeth are beautiful!!

YES! for about 2-3 days after getting them put in and then the pain goes away until they tighten the braces again..braces are not fun and are a pain in the *** but they look so nice once you get them taken off so its worth all the pain:)
They don't hurt at all I got mine last thursday. Now I got braces! Spacers feel like you have meat stuck in your teeth.

ohh yea. worse than the actual braces, but don't worry The pain doesn't last for too long, take some advil or panadol occasionally for the pain and try to focus on other things that don't involve ur teeth. Don't worry you'll be fine.
I'm sorry to say but spacers are probably the most painful and annoying thing in the orthodontic process. I was really paranoid that they'd fall out and that I'd swallow them but you don't have to worry about that. They're really tiny and you wouldn't choke if you swallow them. Just DON'T eat anything chewy while they're in or you'll have a mess on your hands. Just remember the pain is worth the outcome. If it really hurts you can take some Advil or asprin to ease the pain.

only for about a week or so after you get them on. After that you get used to them and sometimes you even forget that they are there.
Well I didn't think the spacers hurt at all....They were just annoying. I didn't have any problem eating after I got them in so I don't know what these people are talking about. The braces were far worse than the spacers and they weren't even that bad! I can tell you right now, there is absolutely no unbearable pain involved with braces or spacers. Don't listen to these people who say it is absolutely horrible because it really isn't. They just feel like a piece of meat stuck in your teeth, but they aren't painful.
Yes they do! They might even hurt more then braces. I had them and they hurt sooooo bad. I only have mine it for a few days , I don't know when the pain stops because I when I got mine out my teeth still hurt.
