Tongue ring!?

I just got my tongue peirced 4 days ago, and the whole no DAIRY product part is KILLING me can anyone out there tell me why u are not supose to have dairy products within the first 10 days? the rules I was told are : " no dairy pruducts, no beer and no open mouth kissing for 10 days" I under stand the no open mouth kissing, and I dont drink beer so that doesnt apply lol..but WHY no DAIRY! ?

I dont eat red meats or pork ( its a personal decision) and ever since I stopped eating that stuff I eat alot of dairy products to make up for it ... I drink alot of milk, eat alot of cheese and yogurts, so on and so forth just so everyone understands the dairy thing

you will get a yeast infection. no joke. I have had mine done twice. you can have the dairy products and drink beer but you need to make sure to clean it IMMEDIATLY after or you will get a yeast infection. there is alot of yeast in that stuff. but it is worth it I have had mine done a total of 9 yrs. and as long as you use porcelain or plstic balls on the post you will have no dental problems. you can use whatever post you want all that matters is you don't use metal balls. and use alot of dilluted listerine. if you use the full strength listerine you will irritate it too much.
