Stay awake? or get knocked out?!

Question: I have a tooth that is still in my gums. The baby tooth fell out years ago. I have to get surgery on it to bring it down. I was wondering if I should stay awake for it? or should I get knocked out? Im actually really scared to get 'kocked out.'
Which one would be better?

if it were me, id opt for knocked out.I hate the dentist, well, not the dentist himself, everything that has to do with the dentist. just the smell of the dentist office, and the grinding noise, the feeling of them grinding, the feling of a fat numb lip for hours while i chew up the inside of my cheek unknowingly, even sitting in that chair of death with the bright light in my eyes.Ive used numerous shots of stuf from them that had no effect on me, they tried all they could legally give me, and it wasnt working.ive used the nitrous, better, but still not painless. They used a liquid, called Verset (I dont know the proper spelling), it knocked me out, and made that dentist visit painless. Be warned though, most dentists can not administer that drug, check with your dentist. Best of luck to you.

I say stay awake. I rather feel a little pressure than be knocked out. I don't like the after effects of being knocked out. Good luck
