Tooth cavity/filling question..........!


Question: i had got a very very minor cavity filled about a month ago but i never even noticed that i even had one until the dentist said it was a precautionary filling. so now though on the tooth that i believe had been filled, and was the only tooth that really hurt being filled, hurts when i eat. it doesnt hurt when i push on it though only when i eat. do you think its another cavity or just pain from getting the filling?

I had the same thing. My tooth did that for a few months afterward. It still does a little now but only when I eat candy or something like that. It's just tender.

Hmm I would say pain from a cavity. Im no dentist though so dont go by my answer. It just seems odd that you would have pain from a filling you got a month ago. Maybe some crud got down under the filling and is causing another cavity? If I were you I would go check it out.

well it could be a temparary filling i have had one of those before and they hurt worse than a normal one. mybye your dentist just needed it to see if it was a cavity or not. or mabye your teeth are just softer than normal so the filling will hurt more or longer.
