Root canal?!

Root canal?

im scheduled to get one next sunday.. will it hurt? how bad is it ? my dentist said itll take about 10 minutes and he might do it without a shot.. im worried about that.. tell me a little about them and how bad are they ?

o yeah and iwas told i had a very small infection and i got it fixed yestirday, so will that decrease any pain during tha canal ?

also its on my front tooth &+ i figured out i needed 1 like a few weeks after visiting the dentist because my tooth got very sensitive and would hurt. half my face got swollen so i went yesitrday nd got the infected part fixed [ he said it was very very small [u can barly c it on the xray]

I've had nine root canals. I get novacaine and gas. I think the pain hurts more than the root canal. I've had it get into my jaw. Personally I would rather deliver a baby breech. Hopefully you're on antibiotics. Basically they take small files and ream out the root. Then they take gutta percha and put that down in the cleaned core. They put a temporary on and you go back for the crown.
