How to wear the elastics on your braces properly?!
Question: I have an overbite and the dentist gave me elastics to put in. The top teeth which i am supposed to put the elastic on have a visible hook to put it on but the bottom teeth don't have that much of an obvious hook. I was wondering if i was supposed to put the elastics over the whole bracket or just the hook?
When I put the elastics on the whole bracket it feels like it's working more effectively, but I'm not sure if this is correct and if it will alter the performance what the elastics are meant to be doing?

Only the hook. If you put it over the whole bracket, you'll be shifting your teeth differently than if you just put it on the hook.
If you're not sure, just call up your Orthodontist and ask.
Call your dentist!
just use the hook for the bottom ones. i've had em before for an overbite as well.
return to your orthodontist for more help -this is their job.
The elastics go only over the hook.
