My tooth implant will be on the lower jaw and on the second last, back tooth.

Getting an implant isnt majory surgery, its done under local anesthetic(same as you get when you get a filling in a tooth). All they are doing is "numbing" up the area as if you were going to get a tooth pulled in that area and slowly "drilling" a titanium screw that will "fuse" to your bone. You will probably have swelling but the pain shouldnt be too bad.
