It kind of depends. If your teeth fit together properly, but you still have a "weak" chin you might need a chin implant. If your bottom teeth are set back in relation to your upper teeth then yes breaking your lower jaw and advancing it forward will put your teeth into a better fit and improve your chin profile. Or depending on your age and how far back your bottom teeth are there are appliances or headgear that can be used to hold your upper jaw where it is, while letting your lower jaw grow forward.
You need to speak with your dentist or an orthodontist/oral surgeon to find out what is going on with your mouth and what your options are.

I had this problem, my bottom jaw was 12mm behind what it should be. As I live in the UK the NHS offered to wait till I was 16 then break my bottom jaw and re-allign it. But, I went private and had to have a variety of braces including train tracks to slowly move my jaw forward over 5 years, which wasn't painful.
Hope this helps!

you have to get some to punch u i tried it on my friend! hope this helps

braces a lot of money

Hello, what you describe would seem to be what we would call an "under-bite" and moving the lower jaw forward can be done using different methods depending on a number of issues. The most common method that doesn't include surgery is actually a combination treatment. First, your tooth alignment and balance must be analyzed, both Uppers and Lowers. many times it's found that the bite can be changed by using a special designed appliance that slightly opens the teeth (Upper & Lower), preventing them from touching when closing and desiging the chewing surface in a way that it causes the jaw to move in the desired direction. You must realize that this is a very serious treatment plan and you must have complete diagnostic exams to determine which procedure will best accomplish the goal you want...Your first visit should be with an Orthodontist, he or she can tell you what is and is not possible and the cost involved.. Good luck and I wish you well.

This sounds like malaclusion. I had treatment for it but the other way around my bottom jaw stuck out too far. See a orthadontist, who can refer you to a oral surgeon. You would have to wear braces for a while. I had most of my treatment covered by private health insurance after a 12 month waiting period but i still had to reach into my pocket for some of it.
