Can I find a new orthodontist?!

Question: I have braces, of course, and I am not happy with my present orthodontist. Could I find a new one?

You can transfer your orthodontic treatment to a different orthodontist. You would have to pay for the treatment that you have had up to this point with your orthodontist you do not like. Before making the switch I would check with other orthodontists in the area if they will start a patient with active braces. Since you already have braces on they may just take over where the last left off. MAKE SURE THEY WILL DO THIS FIRST so you do not have to pay for the actual braces again though. The braces have to be a system they use. If it is regular brackets and wires it should not be a problem, but if it is ICE, DAMON or lingual braces, etc. the orthodontist will need to be able to accomidate to your needs.
Hope this helps!
