Take her to the Dentist. Two years old is the perfect age to introduce her to the Dental office...even if her teeth look okay to you.

It is implied that the first visit should be at six months but nobody follows that. Just make sure she has good brushing habits and take her to the dentist by the age of four.

Take her in anyway. Even if the dentist cant do anything your sister should at least see him so she can be familiar with the setting.

as soon as my son started getting teeth, i was brushing them. i think he was about two when i first took him to the dentist

My opinion is, the second they have teeth is the second you need to haul that little diaper-butt to the dentist. Teeth=dentist. Many, many put an age limit of 3 for dental visits. When you're 3, you see the dentist. I don't understand that thought. Again, teeth=dentist.

This really depends on the child. The child can be seen by a dentist to check their teeth as soon as they will allow the dentist to look and do a check up. My daughter was 3 when I first took her, the dentist said she was an exception becuase she would sit and open wide for him to do a great check up on her. Most kids will not let that happen. First off most kids are scared of the doctor, the dentist looks similiar. Just keep that in mind.

So if the child is tolerant of doctors and you think the child will sit and allow the dentist to do what they need to do then I'd give a dentist a call. Preferrably a pediatric dentist. Call and ask them what age they think is appropriate to start taking a child to the dentist.

stop those sugar
they will rotten your teeth soon LOL

well there isn't a set age for dental visits =)
basically as long as she doesnt' get toothaches or even cavity then it's fine

but definitely stay away from sugar
when i was a kid i had perfect teeth then after visiting grandma (they spoiled me rotten) with candies LOL and my teeth never been the same

so trust me, save her the pain in the future =)
good luck

ps it's sweet that you care
=)

once a mouth i would say becuse somthing bad mightn acure that is't good for there teeth

It's a good time for your sister to start seeing the dentist. She should have all 20 of her baby teeth by now. A visit to the dentist at her age will be a very good start. I worked in a pediatric dental office as an assistant for 4 years. Even if your sister does not have any problems with her teeth, a dental visit will help inform your mom on how her permanent teeth are developing and tips on brushing and flossing at home. It will also get her used to going to the dentist on a regular basis. It would help if she came with you when you visit the dentist, so that she can see how well you do. And to see how painless it would be. Little kids tend to do better when they see mom, dad, or older sibling going through it first.
I hope this helps.
