Do braces hurt when you get them?!

No it doesnt hurt at all! the most annoying thing about getting them on is that you feel the need to swallow the spit that drains to the back of your mouth during the gluing on process. its a painless process but lasts about an hour. the part that hurts is when the tighten your braces. but if that happens just gargle with warm water and take ibuprofen. just remeber the end result! good luck!
No, they don't. I wouldn't lie about it either. they will be sore after words but if you like mac and cheese then your in luck. or even ice cream!
when you first get them on, they don't hurt, but after a day or so, your teeth start hurting. when you get them tightened later on, they're gonna hurt.

They may hurt initially, but after some time it is OK
It will hurt a few hours after they put them on and then mostly the second day. The pain will COMPLETELY go away after about 2 weeks until you get them tightened and/or rubber bands which is every month for tightening. Try eating the foods that they tell you to eat to help the pain go away more and then gradually more solids and eat on the side or w/ your molars so that it won't hurt as much as it would w/ your front teeth and break foods apart into smaller pieces for easier eating Good luck.! hope this helped
