Does gum dissolve?!

Question: >.>

Answers: >.>

If you chew it for long enough it definitely looses all its stickiness and it becomes a gross texturized substance in your mouth. As well, stomach acid cannot dissolve the gum if you swallow it, but it does eventually come out. It does not stay there for years like some old wive's tales say

It does not dissolve in your stomach at all. Thats where the old wives tale comes in and they say if you swallow gum it will be there forever (or some I've heard say 7 years)... It does not dissolve in the stomach acid and will pass through

not that i know of.

no

Chewing, and bubble gum is dissolved by stomach acid.

No It Doesnt. Nice face **)

Eventually...

If you're wondering if it really stays in your system for 8 years, no, it dosn't. It dosn't completely digest though.

no it does not

Yes, everything does. Glass and plastic break down over time, too (Over thousands of years, of course, but it still happens.

If you swallow gum, it will take 7 to 8 years for it to come out of your body, so yes, it does dissolve.

No, but most times you poo it out so it doesnt really matter...

yes it can talk with your dentist about it

yep

I don't think so. Maybe in a strong base...Whatever is like gum should dissolve gum. maybe.

in your stomach, or what?

i think it does is your stomach, usually 24 hours or less.

yes.mine does it sometimes after i chew it for awhile and it is so gross.EWIEEEEEE

no

No its doesn't

yes-depends what gum you get and other things too.
get the regular juicy fruit gum and chew it with some chocolate and it will dissolve.

PS-dissolving gum tastes nasty

hm ive never thought of that

meow

LOL! No, not in your mouth but after a while it will disovle in the ground.

It breaks apart and gets all nasty if you chew it for too long, but no it cant dissolve in your mouth if thats what you mean.

im not an expert but im pretty sure gum does not dissolve. gum is actually made of little bits of rubber which is why people tell you not to swallow it. (i saw it on discovery channel its true)

Yes. If you chew a piece long enough, it will dissolve.

yes. i chewed on a piece of gum for a long time. it turned into a liquidy form and i threw a piece of gum im water and like couple days later. it turned into a paper in water look alike form. stride and trident gum was wat i use
