Me goin dentist soon - correct answer wins!!! - whats wrong with my tooth?!

Question: Help - 1 tooth feels weird after eating lots of chocolate!

I ate loads of chocolate yesterday, and in the evning my small tooth started to feel weird - it almost felt like a "bubbly sensation"

This morning(brushed and flossed and used mouthwash, last night) - the gum is weird - feels stiff - and throbbing - but so lightly - so no pain

Whats wrong with my tooth??

Is it sensitivity?

What causes sensitivity?

Also - i have no fillings, and have had no tretment before....

this tooth is always the one that feels weird, when ever my teeth dont feel right

Now my gum feels slightly weird..

My answer: Some dentine is exposed. Dentine has tiny tubes that lead to to nerve and allow it to be stimulated by substances like chocolate and by pressure.

The dentist will probably find the exposed dentine and repair and cover it.

No root canal.

My prediction: It will be even more sensitive in some ways after the dentist, but only for a while.

Your gums may have receded, this means dentin is exposed the layer under the enamel at the gum line, keep the area brushed softly in a circular motion and floss regularly. If it has receded a lot you can have a skin graft, the dentist removes tissue from your palette then stitches it over the receding area.

well ...i think i is a case of periodonal infection...

Sound like a simple cavity that just needs a filling.

you probably need a filling and you will be fine
