You should definately call and ask! Every company is different and it depends on your age as well.
If they DON'T cover it, your parents could get a supplement benefits policy just for your braces and pay only 20 bucks a month for it.. and you can get 60% off your braces, and then once you get them off, they can drop the supplement and go back to the regular family insurance plan.
So instead of paying $5000 (if CHP doesn't cover it) your family will save about $2500 by going with a supplement. if you figure braces at $2100+the $20 cost every month for 2 years (which is usually how long they are one for). At the website the $20 family plan is under the Dental Plus link.
