Can dental problems lead to all this?!

Question:

Can dental problems lead to all this?

I posted this same type of question on another board, and a lot of people there recommended that my girlfriends problem could be related to her infected teeth.

For almost 3 weeks now, she has been feelign pretty bad. Tired, and achy most of all. He back aches a bit, and her ribs and collar bone are aching. Not pain, just soreness. Her chest feels sore a lot of the time too.

She is dizzy often, not always, but often, and she is more tired than normal.

Her shoulders are sore as well, along with her neck.

She has a good number of infected teeth in her mouth. The people on the other board said that is likely her problem.

I forgot to mention that she has been having a number of panic attacks as well.

She is 26, and up til right now, has been in good health...meaning no hospital visits or anything like that.

Are the poeple on the other board right? Could this be from her teeth?

Dentis appointment is set up for Tuesday, and doctor is for tonight.

THANKS ALL

A note to overanxious...I realize a dr is best in getting the answer to this. I noted that she is going to the family dr tonight, and a dentist on Tuesday. I was just hoping to get some ideas before I go.

I wish you wouldn't have answered.

Thanks everyone else!

Answers:

I work in a Cardiology clinic. Poor dental care can lead to a lot of serious infections.

You are on the right track. Her regular physician can begin to run blood test and prescribe antibiotics if necessary. That will help the dentist a lot. They sometime can't treat a patient until the infections in the mouth are clear (less risk of it getting into other systems in the body).

TO ALL: Good dental hygiene is important! (last week on GMA a 12 yr old kid had an abscess on his gum that burst. It caused infection to back up to his brain. He died. Mom found it in time and he would have lived but no dentist would take Medicaid.)

Best of luck to you both.
