BRACES help what do they feel like plz answer my questionz.?!
Question: hi.im getting braces in 2 weeks.plz answer these questions below....
1.when you first get them what do they feel like?
2.ive made my choice for colored ones.but wat color braces..
3.how long does it take to put braces on your top teeth.
4.are there any seriouse reaction when you get them on (such as pain.)
5.is there any pain when there done with the procedure
6.how long is the pain if there is any?

1. when you first get them, it feels weird, kind of like a huge hunk of metal in your mouth, but you get used to it really fast!
2. Get any color braces that you want, have fun with them!
3. To put braces on your top teeth, it usually takes about an hour, because when I had my full set of braces put on, it took about 2 hours. So since your getting only half that, I'd say an hour. :-)
4. Yes, there is pain when you first get them. Your teeth and gums feel really tender. Take Tylenol and ibuprofen, and they will even give you wax to put on anything sharp that is poking you. Also, it will be hard to eat any food that is hard! You'll have to eat soup and other soft things.
5. No, there isn't pain right away. That night and the next day it might hurt more, but after a week or so the pain will go away!
6. About a week, and after you get them tightened.
Great luck, and don't remember to smile! Anytime you feel like ripping off your braces because they hurt, just think of the beautiful end result.....perfect teeth!

1. Your mouth will feel weird for a couple of days but you will get used to it.
2.since you are a girl[i assume so from ur pic] choose lighter colors. stay away from dark green, yellow,black,and clear.
they make you look like you have something in your teeth.
3. mine for top and bottom took about an hour
4.not at first but later in the day you will feel it
5.like i said previously yes but later on.[i suggest tylenol before you get them on]
6. the first couple of days
this is coming from a person who has had her braces for about a year now.

I got braces a few months ago, so let me be the first to tell you it doesn't hurt as bad as some people say, but it does in fact hurt, not when you are getting the on (which takes about an hour for each set) but after an hour or so you will feel the side effects. It lasts about a week or so, its pretty hard to eat and really do much that includes pressure on your teeth. Unfortunately you will get a few cuts on the inside of your cheeks till your mouth gets used to the metal rubbing on it. Also when you first get them on, your lips will be really dried out because they get stretched so much from all the stuff in there, also, the actual brackets on the braces feel like the are sticking out really far, but after a couple weeks you don't notice them at all. Don't worry about them, you will be thankful in a few years when your teeth look great!
1. You can't really feel them get put on. They only hurt after a few hours.
2. light pink and silver are pretty.
3. Well it took two hours to put braces on both my bottom and top teeth so I would say about 40 minutes to an hour.
4. the pain doesn't come until a few hours later.
5. No pain when they are putting them in except maybe the way ur mouth has to stay open for a long time.
6. about two weeks to get back to eating regular things. Thats how long the pain usually last. But its not straight pain. Usually some breaks in between. Hope I could help.
