1. You should probably just eat some soup. You can eat some soft things like bread if you take very small bites but its not recommended.

2. Are they putting you under or just doing local anesthesia? If they are just giving you local then it will hurt like hell and be very uncomfortable. If they are putting you under then you just have the sore jaws that are part of the recovery. Usually only lasts a couple days. They should give you some pain medicine.

3. After a day or two you should be able to eat softer things regularly, but want to avoid getting the food in the area of the extraction.

4. Yes!! You should stay away from any lollys!!! Chocolate isn't as bad if you take care of your teeth regularly. Soda is the worst, if you drink one then rinse your mouth out with water after you're finished!!

You can eat what do you want ,but after a day,let the gum heal a little.

I think the best way to answer this is to call your dentist who diagnosed the extraction in the morning and ask them. Not get a bunch of guesses as to your particular situation on yahoo.

after u extract your teeth under local anesthesia your dentist will give u pain killers to reduce pain and it won't last long so don't worry.
because of the infection u might be using antibiotics for a while.u should be careful in the first 24 hours after extraction don't eat or drink anything hot.don't use straw for drinking and I suggest no Lollys for 24 hours.
usually after 2-3 days u can get back to your usual diet.
good luck
