How long does it take for your tooth to not be sensitive after having a temporar!

Question:

How long does it take for your tooth to not be sensitive after having a temporary crown put on?

Answers:

It depends. For some people, just a few days, others it takes weeks, and some teeth don't settle down on their own and require a root canal. In my office it takes 2 weeks to get the real crowns back and we usually hope and expect people's teeth to be ok by this point; if not, we wait a little longer before doing the RCT. Good luck.
