I want my teeth real white, but don't want to spend alot of money--what do I get??

Crest whitestrips have always worked. I've been using them for over 3 years. The classic (first one that came out) and the renewal (claims to remove up to 20 yrs of stains) are the ones that work on me. The premiums do not but of course, everyone's diff. I'm a coffee addict and former smoker and the strips never fail. But they can cause tooth sensitivity while using the system. But goes away after you stop.
Another way is to use a Sonicare. It'll get your teeth superwhite. I used it for a month and even my dentist says I don't need teeth whitening. But you have to be careful not to overbrush your teeth or your gums or you can damage them. i did that and now I don't use it. But I found this to be effective whitening. The brush strokes are 31,000 per minute so guess that helps. =) Good luck!
