There is a yellow mark on my 2 year old's eye tooth which also feels uneven,!

Question: I'm not aware of her falling and chipping it. Is it decay? I live abroad and it's difficult to get to a dentist.

It could be decay. Early childhood decay usually starts near the gum tissue. You should definitely take her to a dentist to rule out decay, or have the decay treated!

EDIT: antibiotics only affect teeth that are developing! Meaning that if the yellow spot (assuming it is from antibiotics) is on your child's baby teeth it would be from antibiotics (usually tetracycline) that you took while your were pregnant with that child.
If your child took antibiotics, that cause staining, then it is possible that her adult teeth will be affected, because baby teeth develop in utero, and adult teeth develop during early childhood.

Make Sense?

Also, you should probably wait to use a fluoride mouth rinse until your child has the ability to spit it out. Most two year olds don't (I have one). If your child consumes too much fluoride at this age, it could have an affect on his develpoing adult teeth and cause dental fluorosis (white spots).

It sounds like decay, she needs to have it filled! Primary canine teeth are suppose to last until age 9-12 depending on if it's an upper tooth or a lower tooth.

My daughter has a lot of yellow spots on her teeth and the dentist said not to worry it not decay its just the colour they are growing and she can bleach them when shes old enough. If it was decay she would have some pain.

Has she by any chance had antibiotics?
Happened with my son, he had tonsillitis when he was 2 and even though i still cleaned his teeth the front one has a little yellow mark on it which my dentist said they caused.
I have been reassured that the adult teeth will be fine though.

it could be three things...
1) early decay, find a dentist. if you are in the military, check on base for a military dentist.
2) tooth malformation. which isn't a big deal.
i would wait and watch it carefully. brush and floss twice a day. use ACT, if you can find it, it is a floride toothpaste which comes in grape, mint and bubble gum flavors. if your child complains of pain or if you notice it getting bigger, find a dentist before most drastic treatment will be necessary.
