Wisdom Teeth: Stitches out...Blood.?!

Question:

Wisdom Teeth: Stitches out...Blood.?

Hey guys. I got my wisdom teeth out (4) last friday. Today, I got my stitches out. I havent bled since the first day, and no pain. Today, a few hours after getting my stitches out, I put my finger near one of the exraction sites and noticed a small trace of blood. Could this be coming from a hole where the stitch used to be? Im worried because I thought I was done with this, yet Im getting some minor bleeding up there. I can hardly taste blood, and its not dripping into my mouth, its just when I stick a piece of gauze or tissue back there, there is a bit of blood on it. Should I be worried?

Answers:

That's entirely normal. Don't worry about it.

Concentrate instead on making sure you don't get any food trapped in the holes where your teeth used to be.
