I am havin braces but have to have a tooth op what is it like ?

i went to the orthodontics yesterday and had some xrays and they told me i have got to have an operation to pull my tooth down with a chain and got to keep it in for a month as anybody had this before??(if so how do they do it and does it hurt)I get to have braces after Yay!!!

It doesn't hurt that much... not as much braces which dont hurt much anyway! Having this for a month is good, because its not like a really dramatic change that would shock your teeth and hurt. Like Braces, maybe for the first one or two weeks it will hurt, and will hurt the most permanently for about one/two days this is fine with pain killers though!Having a chain is a great build up for braces, as its almost the same sort of thing from the pain point of veiw - but your lucky becuase its only on one tooth unlike braces where its twenty something! Im glad that your looking forward to having braces- this is my second time i've had braces in 3 years and i think they have so many bad vibes and 'horror sotries' related to them that arent needed! im getting mine off next week =D -- good luck and dont be scared! Its a good idea to just go with the flow and avoid researching the subject - this may put you off as there are so many noobs on the internet that put stupid things that only happen to people who are ignorant enough to post all their bad experiences on theinternet in the hope of scaring other people.
