i never got braces...too expensive, but now i somewhat have the option. Does invisalign cost more? Because i dont really want the metal...

You would need to see your GENERAL dentist for pricing, they can give you an estimation. (However not all general dentists do invisalign).Typically the only variation in price is that you will have to pay a lab bill. That varies on the length of your treatment. If you went to an orthodontist, they usually charge more (what I hear from patients). The price you pay for the lab bill is typically worth it because you save a lot of your time. They will need a current full set of x-rays, a set of study models, pvs impressions that get sent to the lab, along with a bit registration. Some times attachments are put on when you get your first set of aligners, these are not major-- just small composite 'buttons' attached to the teeth that need a little boost in movement, they can match them to your tooth shade so you will not see them... Also you are able to maintain better oral hygiene while using invisalign! So that is the BEST seller right there! If you are a good candidate for invisalign, go for it!
