When is it too late to get a root canal?
because i was told that i needed one like a couple months ago and i haven't got it done yet. since then i haven't been getting any pain until last week. now it hurts like hell and its very difficult for me to sleep at night. i just want to know when i get my root canal will it hurt even more since i waited like 3 months after they told me i needed one? im really scared it might hurt when i'm at the dentist..

The root canal therapy procedure is to clean out the infected tooth so the pain will stop. Waiting just prolongs the agony.
Get to your dentist pronto and get it done. The other alternative to stop the pain would be to get your tooth pulled, but be aware of the consequences (drifting of adjacent teeth, supereruption of the opposing tooth, high cost of replacement with a bridge or implant, etc.).
