Im getting braces and a top retainer that lengthens my mouth????
so im getting my 2nd phase of braces (top and bottom) and a retainer that is getting glued in that has a little key hole your supposed to twist that lengthens your mouth...ive had this before but it was about 3+ years ago and i also had to get a crown so the metal band around it feels really weird and kind of painful especially since my teeth are REALLY close together because i have a very small mouth...so my question is how do i deal with the pain of it...if its gonna be painful which i think it might be..do i take motrin or a different type of pain killer??what helps the most?? thanks

the tightening hurts for a few days...take four motrin pills and that equalls perscription strenght medicine. i had that for a year...its not fun!! but its worth it..i just got my braces off and my smile is great! it'll pay off, believe me!!
