If a person dies with braces on, are they taken off before burial?!

Question: I know it's an odd question but I've really been racking my brain for the answer. I've tried google, asking everyone I know on my IM list and still - nothing.

Is anyone an expert on this or know where I could find the information?

Thanks. :)

People who die with braces on generally leave them on since their mouth is CLOSED for the services and no one would see their teeth anyway.

Some people are even buried with their glasses on and all of their jewelry.

All of that is personal preference of the family members who make the arrangements.

hu?? why would any1 die w/ them on?
If you want you can have them removed.

I've wanted to know this myself. Sorry, I don't know but let me know if you find out.

No, they, like dentures, stay in.

ABsolutely not taken off. Why would they be? They were part of the person when they were alive, and so they should and will be at death and after.

The only thing removed from the mouth prior to burial and during the embalming and preparation for viewing is "Dentures". The reason being, the mortician wants to make the person look as natural as possible and to do that they place a special type of (putty or wax if you will) in the mouth and under the lips. This compound allows the mortician to contour the facial features. The reason the dentures are removed is because they would simply fall back into the throat area and provide no help in contouring the facial features.

well if they do. i hope you have braces, and choke on it when you die. that was a rude comment to write to me. you a probably old and fat anyway.
i want boobs to show off when i model by the way.
