Can i get braces off for my wedding?

I just got my braces on today, and ortho estimated 2 to 2 1/2 years. I'm planning on getting married next year in July 2008. If i requested to get my braces off for my wedding, and then put back on after, would that be possible? Would it cost more? Any info would be great!
