Help my gums have grown over my back wisdom tooth?!

Question: what is the cause of it and how can i fix the problem it's painful. Will excessive brushing solve the problem or do i have to have the gums cut off my tooth? Also if I have to get the gums cut off of the tooth how much will it be around?

Sounds painful! You will most likely need to see an oral sugeon and they may recommend removal of the wisdom tooth. Probably not cheap, but if not treated could cause a serious infection.

Mine did this, too. I had my wisdom teeth pulled.

Whoa, gum tissue doesn't grow over a wisdom tooth. The reality is that the wisdom tooth is erupting through the gum tissue. It will take several day's for the tooth to completely emerge, providing it has plenty of room to do so. If it doesn't it will begin pushing your other teeth around as in crowding them. You need to see a dentist and more than likely have the tooth extracted before it causes you to have unnecessary crowded teeth.
