3 questions about braces and palatal expanders?!
Question: How long after I have had braces put on would I normally start to see a change in my teeth? Months, weeks, ....Just curious. Also, I have a palatal expander which caused me to have a slurred speech. How long until I can talk normal and if my boyfriend kissed me, would the expander feel really bad to him?

the change is really slow. i only noticed when i looked at a mold taken of my teeth before i had my braces and then looked at my teeth with the braces in the mirror.
i had an expander too and at first my speech was weird but then my mouth got used to it being there and the slurr went away.
and unless your boyfriend puts his tongue up there i doubt he'll notice.
It differs in the amount of time you will see the change.. my teeth changed in about 3 to 4 weeks.. but yours could be different. and No if you kiss your boyfriend he wont feel it.. he wont even notice if it was there!! dont worry.. and just for the record.. people with braces can kiss excellent =)
