Will typical tooth whitening procedures work on composite veneers?!
Question: ex. gel strips, whitening gel, smile bright, etc.
Answers: ex. gel strips, whitening gel, smile bright, etc.
The materials you mention will not work on composite veneers.
Composite veneers are made of quartz granules in a glue-like matrix. If the veneer is not polished properly it can accumulate stain in the rough surfaces. The dentist can go through the same polishing procedures that should have been used to finish the veneer in the first place.
There is some possibility that the wrong composite material was used and it cannot be finished very well. If that is the case it will need to be replace with a micro-fill composite and polished up properly.
No. Veneers aren't like teeth.
