Retainer Cleaner.....ewww!?!
Question: I have a clear plastic retainer that I have to wear every night because my braces are off and it gets really gross from sitting in its container... I was wondering if anyone has used a cleaner(like something for dentures but not) that works good, is cheap, and doesn't have to be bought online or at a specific store.
If you have any reccomendations on a retainer cleaner like the one i mentioned, please answer!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean. Just when you brush your teeth at night brush your retainer very thoroughly as well : )
I use a product called Efferdent to clean my retainers. It's a denture cleaner, but cleans retainers just as well. It's a tablet you dissolve in water. I'm not actually sure exactly what stores to get it in; i'm sure places like CVS would have it though. It shouldn't be too hard to find.
Here's the best dental appliance cleaner you can use and it makes no difference if the appliance is a denture or a retainer. Purchase a bottle of "Dawn Liquid Dish Soap". Put 1/8 teaspoon of the Dawn in a half glass of warm water or in a denture cleaning cup. Brush the retainer under clear water and then put it in the Dawn cleaner and leave it for 15 minutes. Remove it and brush under running water and put it back in the cleaner for another ten minutes , brush and rinse under running water and you will now have a completely clean appliance.

Don't have one...yet...but i get my braces off in May...you should be happy for me!
