Has any had extraction of wisdom tooth?!

Question:

Has any had extraction of wisdom tooth?

I am going to get my wisdom tooth taken out next friday, I have perincoritis. Can someone tell me the procedure? Because I am scared it is going to hurt.

Answers:

If the doctor doing the extraction is good at administering local anesthesia, it shouldn't hurt at all.

The procedure is pretty straightforward. They give you a shot to numb you up, and when you are numb they will elevate the tooth (try to loosen it up), and if it's an impacted wisdom tooth it might need to be cut apart with a rotary instrument.

After cutting and elevating, it's just a matter of pulling out the loose pieces. As long as all the root tips are retrieved, the extraction is done and you might get some stitches to close up the site. Someone will then give you post-op instructions and maybe an Rx for antibiotics/painkillers, and you go home.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy. :-D

Good luck!
