Grey mark on my tooth?!

Question:

Grey mark on my tooth?

I have recently noticed that my top back tooth has a very light grey mark on it, the tooth has a grey filling on half of it but the part I am talking about is white, maybe that can explain the discolouration. It's quite small and not a hole its prob about as wide as a bit of rice, its right next to the gum on the side of my mouth. It almost looks like a bruise, I have been to the dentist every month since February for different things and she never noticed this. Would you say this is anything to worry about, I really cant afford to go to the dentist yet again and its causing me no pain at all and my gum looks like normal.
I brush twice a day and use plax mouthwash.

Thank you Megan hun, I did actually have a bad night last night because of this. I am so bad and paranoid of my teeth.
Any other answer's still welcome though.

Answers:

it sounds like what you're talking about is called an amalgam tattoo, it harmless, and will not affect your gums, mouth or teeth. it's a small discoloration caused by your silver filling. It just happens sometimes. I have one too.
