Bad gums, but if i do this how long till they stop bleeding?!

Question: i'm 14 btw. and i have braces
if i brush twice a day, floss twice, water pick once, mouthwash at night but use salt water in the morning.

how long till they stop bleeding?
how long till i get results?
should i do more/less?

right now my gums are so bad that they overlap my brace-brackets. i really don't want to destroy my smile this way!

That much flossing, plus the Water Pik, is probably too much and actually will irritate them, causing swelling.

This is definitely something to bring up at your next orthodontist's appointment. Also, be careful when you floss, easing the floss into any tight spots rather than letting it snap--and cut your gums.

You might want to see your orthodontist about this.

You need an oral surgeon.

Time to go and see the doc!!!

Kiddo you may be overdoing it, two minutes brushing, don't over pressure the brush. Have Mom call the ortho. there may be a broken bracket or something causing this, it sounds like you are doing you r part to keep them healthy while the braces are on

might sound counteractive, but try flossing only once a day for a week or so. that's what the ada recommends.

It sounds like you have some type of gum disease. I would suggest that you have someone take you to a regular dentist and have them evaluate the situation.
Sometimes people get plaque below the gumline that you cannot see when your looking at your gums in the mirror. A procedure called subgingival curretage will remove the plaque you cannot see. It simply is a machine that shoots water out of it and removes the plaque via ultrasonic waves or vibrations. Then there are also prescription rinses you can buy to help maintain your healthy gums.
Good luck! I hope this answer helps you! I'm glad that your concerned about this at age 14, most kids are not and end up with straight but rotted teeth!
